Enterprise Staffing Services (ESS) University Hospitals (UH) in-house staffing agency began in 2001. The goal of ESS is to provide critical supplemental staffing needs to the various departments throughout the University Hospitals health system. ESS has a highly skilled management team led by Registered Nurses. ESS hires experienced Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Department Secretaries and Sitter/Companions. The ESS staff float throughout the UH system providing supplemental staffing support during times of increased census, FMLA or staffing need. Assignments range from providing day to day coverage to providing long term staffing coverage within an assigned area. ESS employees can not hold a second assignment within the UH organization. PRN float pool assigned to the hospital (includes Adult Medical/Surgical and Pediatrics).Provides direct patient care and assists clinical staff with technical procedures to patients under the direction of the RN. Assists patients with ADLs; including ambulating, transferring, feeding, bathing, grooming, turning, positioning, oral and skin care. Maintains Patient Safety by: direct supervision, reorienting and redirecting confused patient, keeping environment hazard free. Communicates with RN observations and changes in patient condition.
Position Requirements:
Must have successfully completed the first year of a professional programs course work. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to use a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and provide for patient safety (i.e.., wheelchair, patient assistive devices, patient care equipment) specific to assigned population. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers. Basic computer skills.Education Requirements:
