Join us for a 12-week paid summer internship designed to let you apply your classroom learnings to real world challenges. Our internships have a thoughtful balance of networking, executive speakers, community involvement, big meaty projects (no paper filing here!) and fun!
Project
Revising and expanding Engagement Studio, an internal web application developed at HP to enable targeted communication with customers through HP apps, push notifications, and email.
Roles and responsibilities
- Get an in-depth understanding of current app capabilities
- Conduct user interviews with HP employees to get their feedback about the application
- Review plans for functional changes to the app
- Develop options in Figma using an existing HP UX component library
- Present those options to internal stakeholders from multiple teams
- Regularly review progress and get feedback from UX design team members and the software engineering manager for this project
- Incorporate feedback into designs
- Work with engineering leadership to create detailed specifications in Figma
Education and Experience Required
- Currently enrolled in a four-year college and returning to school following the internship.
- Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2024, and not require sponsorship in the future. HP, Inc. will not provide any assistance or sign documentation in support of immigration sponsorship including Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Optional Practical Training (OPT)
Preferred Majors:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineer
- UX Design or similar
You must be enrolled in a university program working towards a Bachelor's

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $28 -- $33hourly. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
