KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Tax Ignition-Tax Management Services practice.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide management consulting services focused on corporate tax function operations, including tax function benchmarking analysis, operational performance and efficiency reviews, and preparation of deliverable reports for a variety of clients from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide clients with insight on how to improve the efficiency of corporate tax processes, including better use technology.

  • Operate at a world class level by building and develop client relationships

  • Work with diverse teams of tax professionals and assistants in different geographies on client projects

  • Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality service and professional advice

  • Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm

    Qualifications:


  • A minimum of two years of general corporate tax experience working with large businesses in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm (compliance, provision, consulting experience—does not need to be tax process consulting specific experience). Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and/or Masters in Taxation, Accounting, or Business Administration  from an accredited college/university. CPA highly desirable

  • Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, partnerships, and a solid knowledge of ASC 740. Interest in technology and its ability to improve and redefine the work of the tax function

  • Excellent process consulting skillset and a passion for improving the performance of our client’s tax operations. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, along with the ability to articulate complex information and write detailed reports

  • A self-starter who has the ability to work cross functionally with client and KPMG teams of specialists in tax, accounting, M&A, FP&A, Treasury, SSCs, etc

  • Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams

  • Ability to work independently and remotely while also working with a nation team. Willingness to travel.
