KPMG is currently seeking an Associate/Senior Associate in Risk Strategy & Compliance - Risk Analytics for our KPMG Risk Consulting practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Review credit payments and whole loan documentation to verify accuracy
  • Compare loan documentation with data for accuracy using tools in Excel
  • Prepare client deliverables (agreed-upon procedures report) and working papers supporting our findings
  • Work on advisory and audit engagements related to financial instrument valuations and cash flow analysis of structured products and loan portfolios
  • Work on engagements related to collateralized loan obligations (CLO), collateralized debt obligation (CDO), mortgage backed securities (MBS), asset-backed securities (ABS)
  • Perform compliance testing related to client agreements with investment banks, issuers, regulators, government agencies, and investors

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate:

  • Meet engagement deadlines and budgets, as well as maintain compliance with internal risk policy requirements
  • Interact with clients and team members to achieve engagement objectives
  • Execute against engagement work programs developed by managers and directors
  • Participate in securitized transactions such as collateralized loan obligations, residential mortgage backed security, and asset backed security

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in financial services, preferably with experience in securitization or collateralized loan obligations (CLO)
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or accounting, from an accredited college/university
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task many activities
  • Working knowledge of loan documentation preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on critical analytical and independent thinking, yet working within a team framework
  • Strong Microsoft excel and data management skills
  • Travel may be up to 80-100%
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:

  • A minimum of three years of related work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of finance, real estate capital markets is preferred
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Well-established understanding of business dynamics and operations
