KPMG is currently seeking a Director in M&A Services for our KPMG Strategy practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Serving as a key advisor,direct and deliver operational due diligence and performance improvement services while overseeing teams of consultants on each engagement
  • Help lead business development initiatives focused on M&A integration, and separation including targeting key C- level individuals and proposing KPMG's services and closing opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing services, managing key interviews, leading workshops, and conducting industry research through secondary and primary resources
  • Lead the team to create value-add insights that tie to the client's strategic and financial ambitions, including identifying the underlying value proposition and challenging the client's near and long term investment thesis through structured data analyses to identify operational risks, efficiencies, or other opportunities
  • Work across B2B and B2C industries, including industrials, services, healthcare, consumer goods, retail, energy, technology and telecom, and financial services

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of eight years of external consulting experience in a client-facing strategy discipline at a Big 4 firm, major strategy firm, or a boutique strategy firm, with a focus on private equity due diligence, operational due diligence, and/or operational performance improvement; additional relevant work experience in M&A Operations for a private equity firm, or in a strategy and/or corporate development department of a Fortune 100 firm
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college; MBA from an accredited university preferred
  • Experience helping global corporations and/or private equity firms conduct thorough analysis of potential acquisition targets, including assessing and executing operational due diligence, carve-outs, and performance improvements; plus project/program management, strategic cost management, operational improvement, customer profitability, pricing, discount optimization, organizational restructuring, change management, and/or corporate turn-arounds
  • Experience managing multiple complex initiatives and within the complete M&A life cycle
  • Demonstrated experience developing relationships with senior clients in a professional services environment
  • Excellent foundational consulting skills including exceptional analytical, written and verbal communication; strong client presence; well-developed facilitation and presentation skills; ability to travel up to 80-100%
