KPMG is currently seeking a Specialist Director to join our KPMG Lighthouse - Center of Excellence for Advanced Analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Data Science and Machine Learning intensive engagements with focus on client delivery and project management of teams with data scientists, data engineers and business consultants; develop Machine Learning focused agile project plan for engagements spanning few weeks to months with a focus on incorporating proven execution models for successful delivery
  • Translate advanced business analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable outcomes and recommendations in diverse domains such as financial services, marketing, supply chain, customer engagement, technology process and policy and controls optimization; lead workshops around emerging technologies in associated areas of Machine Learning with both business clients and technical clients
  • Understand and architect enterprise-scale Machine Learning pipelines including real-time feature extraction, online experimentation platforms, Multi-variate Regression testing frameworks, Continuously Learning Models and Human-in-the-Loop design patterns
  • Design and deliver hybrid cloud Machine Learning solutions, which rely on microservices framework and containerization for ease of deployment and scaling
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data, understand and implement algorithms, and support analysis using advanced statistical and mathematical methods from emerging areas in pattern analysis, machine learning, deep learning, data mining, econometrics, and operations research
  • Perform statistical analysis on multi-modal data and be able to use state-of-the-art techniques for feature extraction and processing, including the use of Natural Language Processing to mine unstructured data, using methods such as document clustering, topic analysis, named entity recognition, document classification, and sentiment analysis as part of the overall Machine Learning initiative set forth for the engagement

Qualifications:

  • Minimum twelve years of experience leading teams of ten or more data scientists, engineers and other data & analytics professionals, including business development, requirements gathering, people development, and quality management using analytics and software development processes for natural language processing, machine learning on unstructured data, and/or information retrieval; solid engineering and coding skills as part of previous experience is highly preferred
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields from an accredited college/university; PhD preferred
  • Proven track record leading and delivering engagements that demonstrate leading practices in data discovery & cleaning, human-in-the-loop pipelines, model selection, offline and online evaluation, model validation & governance, model bias & skew analysis/mitigation, and model deployment
  • Demonstrable critical capability to work with the business to understand business goals, assess client needs, translate technical concepts for business teams, and ability to create an artificial intelligence solution and an accompanying business case that meets the business objectives and business constraints; experience going through the entire proposal process (responding to RFP & RFI, authoring the proposal, assembling timeline, budget, personnel etc.) is a plus
  • Demonstrable industry experience in architecting, coding, guiding and delivering artificial intelligence methods using object-oriented programming languages through an industrial-scale software development process, and ability to restructure, refactor, and optimize code for efficiency
  • Experience in Python, Java, C++, Scala, R, Spark, Hadoop, Azure, GCP, AWS and other diverse technologies
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship of a visa
