Job Summary

Come be a part of the Airborne Products & Systems Engineering directorate System Integration team. The engineer in this position will be working with the Rockwell Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) and/or missionized Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion® systems. The candidate will perform system integration tasks with support from more experienced system integration engineers.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

This role requires an individual with a broad range of skills and knowledge in system, software, and hardware engineering; interface protocols; and general problem solving. The role involves designing interfaces among multiple subsystems to ensure the system functions as intended. The role is highly dynamic, often requiring coordination among the various subsystem teams and rapid resolution of technical issues that arise. The individual filling the role has the opportunity to quickly become recognized as a critical resource for program execution and will gain knowledge of the complete system over time which enables them to provide input into future system/software architecture designs.

 

The selected candidate will contribute on a team involved in most phases of systems engineering projects: capture of system requirements, system design, test development, system integration, verification, and validation. The selected candidate will work closely with System Leads, Domain/Software Leads, Verification, & Validation (IV&V) Leads to ensure that the system meets requirements and expectations, and satisfies program cost and schedule constraints.

 

The selected candidate will be involved with items as follows:

  • Logical Interface Design

  • System Configuration Files

    • Network Configuration Tables

    • Switch Configuration Tables

    • Virtual Machine Configuration Tables

    • System I/O Tables

  • Creation of system configuration artifacts

  • Setup and support of software development equipment

    • System Integration Facility (Lab)

    • Software Development stations

    • General Lab support to Systems and Domain/Software teams

  • System technical performance measurement

  • Configuration table release coordination

  • DO-178B Level A development

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
