The Master Plumber for Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) will maintain, inspect, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures and assigned equipment. The BSWH Master Plumber will find and recommend solutions for complex plumbing problems. Responsibilities of the Master Plumber role includes, is not limited to, the following:

Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients and co-workers, is responsive to customer needs.

Maintains, inspects/diagnoses and repairs plumbing systems, fixtures and assigned equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Competently and professionally installs, maintains and repairs all plumbing systems, fixtures and equipment including, but not limited to, various steam, sewer, water and medical gas systems.

Maintains technical skills and licensure to perform job duties. Certifications such as Backflow Prevention, Medical gas, etc are preferred.

Performs reliable preventive maintenance on all plumbing systems, including steam, sewer, water, medical gases and other assigned equipment.

Accurately reads and interprets blue prints.

Cross trains with general mechanic on mechanical equipment.

Maintains critical inventory needed to keep operations running, maintains and accounts for tools issued.

Perform on-call duties scheduled, and maintain communication status when on call.

Support projects as a master skilled technician; develop strategy, resources needed, training, and implement strategy, in support of management.
