LOCATION: GUAM Navel Base
This position will manage the Marine base store in order to provide customers with a safe, pleasant in-stock shopping environment. Will be responsible for providing associates with a rewarding place to work while cultivating a consultative selling environment through all members of the management and associate team. Oversees and is accountable for the operation ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, human resource management and managing operating costs and shrinkage. Leads by example focusing on the development of a total-store environment based on Office Depot policies and procedures.
Qualifications:This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 4 - 7 years experience, including 2 years as a Store Manager preferably in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented environment. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills that are necessary to correspond with both associates, management and customers. Must also possess superior interpersonal skills necessary to support outstanding customer service and to provide direction and leadership to all levels of store associates. Must be able to process information and merchandize through computer system and POS register system and be adaptable to a changing environment and consistently achieve goals.
