The Framingham, MA (Greater Boston) office is seeking an energetic, dynamic, outgoing individual for the position of Manager for our Father of the Year signature fundraising event.

Candidates must have a proven track record of planning and executing cost effective fundraising campaigns and must have extensive experience working with volunteers, corporate decision makers and major donors. Position requires skills for committee volunteer management and developing corporate partnerships to generate revenue.

This is a fundraising position with its primary focus on revenue generation. We are looking for a highly motivated, high-energy, passionate and disciplined leader to organize, recruit for and manage the Father of the Year event. The selected candidate will report to the Executive Director and work closely in identifying, recruiting and engaging C-level executive volunteers who drive corporate support. Specific responsibilities will be serving as primary coordinator and liaison for persons identified as Father of the Year honorees. Fundraising and relationship building experience is a must. The selected candidate will have exceptional sales skills and cold-calling abilities. Strong presentation skills, both oral and written, required. Must know how to close the deal, confirm mutual understandings and manage volunteer and sponsor participation to successful outcomes. Exemplary attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities necessary. Strong organizational skills, analytical decision making, financial acumen, creativity and ability to think outside the box required. 

This position will be responsible for organizing event logistics, volunteer recruitment, participant recruitment, working with event committee, and execution of auctions.

* Bachelor's degree
* Minimum of 3+years of demonstrated success in recruiting, managing and coaching volunteers
* Previous experience developing relationships that result in large dollar donations from individuals and corporations and success in achieving annual goals
* Must have the ability to promote and market the event to ensure maximum participation
* Must be a self starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Demonstrated sales experience
* Experience with fundraising events
* Ability to work some weekends and evenings
* Must pay close attention to details, be able to manage multiple activities, and describe ADA's vision of successful events to volunteers
* Experience working with executive level volunteers a plus
* Working knowledge of Microsoft office
* Must have access to a car for travel
* Must Able to lift up to 25 lbs
